Wild Rose

You have taken a trip up to see Split Rock Lighthouse in northern Minnesota. While there you decide to walk along the rocky shore of Lake Superior to see the lighthouse from many different viewpoints. Along the way you see a wild rose. It is growing from a small spot of soil amongst all the rocks. It is mid-summer and this is but one example of life taking root wherever it can. There is other plant life growing out from the rocks along the shore in the warm summer sun.
