Sparkling

On a warm day in March you have made a trip up north for some winter scenery. Along the beach at the Temperance River State Park in northern Minnesota you noticed signs that winter is near the end. The river is open and there is no ice along the shoreline. In fact the snow and ice covering the beach is melting away exposing the rocks beneath. The mid-day sun glistens off the ice, melting it. Star bursts of light, little pin points of sun, are visible in the water drops as well.
