On a day late in winter Kitchi-Gammi Park in Duluth, Minnesota reveals unique look at Lake Superior. The lake ice was virtually non-existent and it looked like waves had been washing up on rocky shoreline for a long time. There was large amounts of ice on the rocks and driftwood. In one spot it look like and ice bridge had formed between rocks. The most amazing thing noticed however, was the fact that Lake Superior looked like a mirror. At least for the hour or so while these images were captured. When it isn’t covered in ice it is covered in waves. But not on this day. A startling contrast to the thick, lake ice and pressure ridges that are usually here this time of year.
