From the parking lot on County 336 between Tofte and Lutsen Minnesota the Hike to the top of Oberg Mountain is not that far. Once on top the hike is 1-3/4 miles and loops the mountain top. Oberg is covered in a rich maple forest and has about eight overlooks.  It is a great hike in the fall.

As you take in the views do not forget the forest floor. It will be covered with fallen leaves in yellow, orange, red and browns, a wide array of colors in a small area. You will also see greens from grasses, ferns, mosses and small pie tress. Can you imagine a puzzle made up from these images.
